My name is Katharine Ward and I am 25 years old. I was raised in the Chicago area, moved to LA for 7 years, and am now living in Charlotte, NC to pursue ministry and art full-time. While in LA, I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree specializing in communication arts from OTIS College of Art and Design. There, I strengthened my technical skills to better communicate my concepts visually. I am passionate about using my artistic passions to share the love of God with others.
I am engaged to the love of my life, Kerwin. We’ve been together for 4 years. He serves our country in the army and I am so thankful for him.
Artist Statement
My work is grounded in Godly conviction. In my body of work, I reiterate and declare that the Lord is love through my collection of intimate paintings. My works are inspired by biblical scripture, sermons, worship music, and prayer. The narratives unfold to glorify God and spread His word. My work illustrates the loving covenant between God and his people in addition to the everlasting peace which has been promised to them.
